    I am trying to demux AAC audio data from a ts file( stream type 0x0F). is there any way to find the sampling rate and total duration of the stream without decoding the AAC ADTS stream?

    Have you tried MediaInfo?

    @redwudz: Thanks for the reply and warm welcome..
    it is available via tools like media info etc.. but what I wanted was to get that programatically .
    by reading the ts bit stream..

    MediaInfo and ffmpeg /ffprobe are open-source applications.
