yeah i have a pioneer 333 and want to get it multiregion. i understand there is no easy firmware update via cd, or backdoor keycode to change regions.

so i want to know *all* possible options regardless of how difficult(or costly) it may be. thanks

You are right. I have been trying to find some easy way but there seem to be no other option than sending it to some dealer or purchase a chip to do it. You can visit:

They are selling the right chip to make pioneers regionfree.

do you know of any way i could get my hands on a uploader II? that would be real easy to simply hook it up and change the firmware that way. do you think i could find some dealer to do it for me?

Hmm.. I don´t have a clue where you are located in the world. My best advice would be you calling them direct.
