I do most of my streaming to my Xbox 360 ( seems like a streaming question but it's not, please keep reading ), yet lately I'm finding myself downloading more and more HD content that cannot be played streaming, and if it can I haven't figured it out yet. I mean i've tried everything. I have one in particular, a Captain America 1080p torrent I downloaded, that will not play. I don't know what it is that keeps it from playing, but I was done trying to get it to stream. So I went to go and convert it from MKV to a WMV for play on my 360. Half way through the process fails, using Any Video Converter.
I know that I'm missing some other options here. Like remuxing, or using a better conversion program. My thing is conversion takes so loong. I would love for someone to explain Remuxing to me, and what program to use for the best playback on my Sony Bravia. I can either use my TV to stream, or my 360. But my main concerns are playing these downloaded movies in full HD with full 5.1 surround sound. Now If I download a 1080p movie, and it is encoded with 5.1, I should theortically be able to play it like this on my HD tv some way right? I really am a noob but I have some basic concept of streaming and video formats, but I really need some solid explainations and instructions here. I appreciate all help given. Thanks in advance for your time.

Sony Bravia ? ... be specific with model.
Use mediainfo to determine internal data of non playing video's and post snapshots for review.
Generally audio type is suspect but there may be settings used in the video conversion process that prevent proper or non play back, thou generally stream from pc to xbox shouldn't be a problem ... but the this process depends on the program used for streaming the source which you should have included in the post.

I don't know what any of that means but there ya go. haha
I have the following installed to stream:
Divx Pro
Tversity Pro
PS3 Media Server
I use all three of those to stream to my xbox because over time I have discovered some to play certain files, and some wont. I have Windows Media Center but find it to be too sluggish to use most of the time.
Thankyou for the reply, btw. Please don't hesitate to let me know if there is any other info I can provide so you may help me further.
