I have WinDVR and I record a lot of programs which I edit. I record in MPEG-2 (specs below)
MPEG-2
352 x 576
Video-bitfrequentie:3600 kilobit per second
Audio-bitfrequentie:224 kilobit per second
Untill last week I had no problem importing them to MGI VideoWave 4 which I used to convert those files to AVI so I can edit them better.
But now something must have changed and when I play a recorded file it's all stretched out Much Higer than Wide. I even can't import them into another program, it seems to me that the codecs are massivly screwed ! Is there a way to get back the original codecs of Windows XP or something else that might solve this.
(If linking to a codec please use one that works, have had too many PAGE NOT FOUNDS )![]()

Hi:
It almost sounds as if you are capturing in widescreen (16:9) mode and playing back in 4:3 based on the tall skinny factor. I'm not sure where the settings would be for your box but that's my suggestion.
Goodluck!
