I downloaded both the original and the Beta version, trying both (each separately of course), each created the finished product as an .iso. Of course DVDShrink couldn't read an .iso file, so I couldn't shrink my movies. Why does DVDFab do this?
Btw, I solved that problem by going back to DVDdecrypter. And yes, I know this one isn't updated anymore, but it works still with the old movies I have.

In DVDFab HD Decrypter you have a source and target field at the top of the screen. To the right of the target field are two icons. One is a folder, the other is a disc. The disc is for an ISO output, the folder is for a file based output (i.e. to a folder). Just point it to a folder and rip.
When you tried to open the SIO in Shrink, did you use File->Open Disc Image ?Read my blog here.

I came back in to edit my other post, but see you have replied again. I did find "Open Disc Image" in shrink.
I'll have to boot to XP to check the DVDFab options because I uninstalled that one on my Vista load, where I am now. I'll do that this afternoon after company leaves. Thanks.
