  1. I am looking to find an editor that can edit the ts files I have easily. Using Media Info, it tells me my video stream is AVC, the audio stream is AAC, and the text stream is EIA-608

This is my first venture into TS files. What I have been doing with other recordings is keeping one master copy of the original recording, one direct stream edited copy (keeping in case I need it if to do a new burn) , a converted copy from the direct stream edit for Apple TV/IPAD, and a converted copy into .m2ts format before inputting that into a program for burning into bluray (I've been using TMPGEnc Authoring Works for burning to bluray). For the direct stream edits without reconverting, I have been using an old version of "Free Video Editor".

Because this is so new to me, I need some guidance as to what I should be using to accomplish the same (if possible) with these ts files. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks!

I looked at loading the file into the Authoring Works program. What was interesting to me that the file was showing in 2 second increments within the program making me think that wouldn't work well. Am I wrong on that?

Does Video Redo allow after cutting to basically do a direct stream copy from what is left?

    Yes.

I have used VideoReDo TVSuite for a few years and find it very good for editing TS files from TV tuner cards.

The thumbnails may be in 2 second increments, but you should have frame by frame control with the normal transport keys.
