  1. After endocing my Divx or DVD to VCD Mpeg-1, the file on my cpu is perfect, when i burn it and make it a vcd with Nero i sometimes get these Blocky, Glitchy parts in the movie, if i Reburn the 1/2 that is not working of the movie with the exact same MPG i convert the Divx or DVD to, the VCD fixes up and does not have the Glitchy Parts, sometimes it is in another area of the movie and i have to reburn the movie again, eventally i get it without any Glitchy parts, any know why this is happening and how to prevent it ?

  3. Nero can convert files to mpg? i didnt even know that, lol

for the Divx i just used the latest version of TMPG and for the dvd rips i used TMPG + DVD2AVI + SMARTRIPPER

  4. From your description, it doesn't seem like a conversion problem. More like a burn problem. Are you burning at the absolute fastest rate your burner can support? If so, try burning a little slower and see what happens.

  5. Nero has a built-in encoder for MPEG1 files (and a plugin required for MPEG2) but it is NOT recommanded to use the encoder, it is BAD quality.

I was looking through Nero's options and in the Video CD tab i found:
Encoding Resolution: Pal or NTSC, you have to put a dot in one of them, does anyone know how to turn this off ?

Theres also, Create Standard Complant CD & Use CD-i application, does anyone know weather they should be on or off and what they do ?

  7. The encoding only starts for these reasons: you dragged an AVI file, or non-compliant VCD stream, then Nero will popup a message asking to encode.

And you can tell it not to encode of course by turning off the standard compliance check, as for the CDI, it is only a must have for CDI Players, if you don't plan on playing it on one, you can disable it.

  9. ok well i tryied a few other programs, i ripped a dvd and the MPEG file i made was perfect, then i used VCDeasy and made a bin/cue file of a vcd with the mpeg in it, then i used Fireburner to burn the bin/cue file, it came out glitchy again, Doesn anyone know why ? And could the cd's that im using or the speed i burn out effect it ? Only say something if ure positive about the speed or cd's please.

  10. If you extract the movie (DAT) from the VCD you made into your HDD (using VCD Gear) does the MPG file play correctly ?

Why are you using FireBurner and not VCDEasy itself to burn ?

  12. I'm starting to think there is a similiar thing for all you guys, and that's something in the encoding, can you guys try to Demuplex the original MPG file (Before the burn) and then Multiplex again as Non-Standard ?
