    Crop away a total of 1/4 of the columns from the left/right edges.

    Code:
    Crop(width/8, 0, -width/8, -0)
    Beware of cropping restrictions.

    Yes, but you may have frame size restrictions that require a resize afterward -- like when making a DVD.
