Joint MP4 video does not play 2nd part

Hi,

I made a mistake of joining 2 MP4 video files with HJSplit and now the single video file only plays part A even though the big file contains both parts. I believe the video header/index still thinks that it's only part A and needs to be updated.

I accidentally deleted the 2 original files so I cannot re-do. Any idea on how I can fix this?

Not sure if it's fixable (I've not come across something like that) but try MyMP4BoxGUI or even MKVMergeGUI (if you don't mind the final file being MKV). You might be able to open the MP4 with one of them and remux it as a playable file. If not, MyMP4BoxGUI can extract the raw video and audio streams and if it does so successfully you should then be able to use them to create a new MP4 or MKV.
