  1. When I converted 6 Mpeg-2 files to Mp4 using the free version of Any Video Convertor with the output parameters set to default 4 of the files turned out good and the other two have distorted pixilation in them.

The Mpeg-2 files were extracted from a DVD using VOB2Mpeg and they all play with no issues.

Using Media Tab I was able to determine the frame size of the video in the Mpeg-2 files is 720 x 480 and the frames per second is 29.970. The video bitrate is 2,437 Kbps and audio bitrate is 192 Kbps.

The frame size of the MP4 files using the default output parameters in Any Video Convertor is 320 x 240 and they open in the media player as if they are still 720 x 480. The frames per second is 25 and the video bitrate is 770 Kbps and the audio bitrate is 126 Kbps.

Before using the default output parameters at the advice of the makers of Any Video Convertor I tried to set the output parameters under the profile custom Mp4 to match the original Mpeg-2 files but I got poor results and I was not able to match the video biterate up exactly because Any Video Convertor uses templates that have values that are greater than or less than the bitrate in the original video files.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Sincerely,
    mkh
