Didn't see pptx as an option in the headingdescription of this forum, so I'm guessing I might be in the wrong place?

I'm trying to convert a friend's powerpoint presentation to a format where we can make a DVD.

    Any freeware that'll do that?

I tried the converter on aTubeCatcher, and it created files that had ZERO content.

Neither of us have Microsoft Office.

    We use Open Office.

  3. Does OpenOffice have an option to save each slide to jpg/png? If it does, then you could import the images to Windows Movie Maker and create a mp4. I don't know if WMM has a limit on how many images it can import, however.

Alternatively, download Office 2013 trial (~ 700MB and requires Win 7 and above):

then how are you both able to view it ?

or, you just have a file and want to convert it so that you can view it ?

if you are able to view it, then d/l camstudio and record it to another format and then convert it.

virtualdub (freeware) also has screen capture ability. not sure it has an mpeg-1 codec. if it does or one is d/l'able, you can use that author to a dvd, i think.
