At the risk of getting shouted at, does anyone have a definitive guide
to avoiding a video track skipping on past audio ?
I use TMPGenc to convert DIVX to VCD, the quality is excellent, with
the exception of intermittent skips and jumps in video.
I have read many posts, both here and on TMPGenc, however a
definitive guide would benefit everybody. It also could be
part of the VCDHelp website !
Many thanks to any contributors.

So you're basically saying you're having audio/video sync problems?
There are many, many relevant posts on the topic. -
you aren't converting between formats, like ntsc to pal or vice versa are you? Also it could be the divx codec or the priority placed on it.
From what I take of your comment, its not a video/audio sync problem, but that your picture basically flutters. Though its hard to say why, mainly because you really didn't describe anything about what you were doing, settings etc.
