  1. I'm trying to play a video on my PS3 but the sound is not working only the video playing but when I play it on PC or TV(Sony Bravia) through internet works fine. The format of the video is MP4 and it seems the file is corrupted and probably need a program to reconvert the file into better format. I used a program to convert the MP4 into M2ts and the video works on my PS3 but no audio. Any suggestions?

P.S not sure if this section is the right one.

Use mediainfo to see internal details of codec used for audio ... its likely the audio format is unsupported by the ps3.

Generally this is taken care of by applying updates for the ps3 from sony.

Conversion should be straightforward ... avidemux, set audio recompression to mp3 and video to direct copy or source copy ... haven't used them in a while due to not having such common problems ... save as new file ... done and dusted within minutes.

    And welcome to the forum.

Yep. Or try rebox.net and change the audio to aac or mp3. Output as mp4 or m2ts.

you do not have copy of the file
    you are streaming it.. ?
it does play on the PC and TV
how many times do you want to watch it ?
down load a copy to the PC and convert it
or update the PS3 with updates from Sony
that is the only way to fix the PS3 to play the sound track that is inside that video
