All im looking for is slightly better quality than that of VHS. The reason I don't use vcd is because my player has problems with artifacts. ANYWAYS heres the question: What is the lowest possible bitrate i can use to have a VHS quality sVCD going from a good divx source? <<ballpark range>>![]()

Such a general and broad question can have many answers. It depends on how much movement there is in the divX. Who can judge exactly when the quality exceeds that of VHS. If you want 'just better than VHS', use XVCD
