hey folks
well im using tmpg to convert my dv2 files and that.
when i encode i put the quality on high, but the files still come out to like 1 gig and stuff and thats only 2x500 meg files, i really want it to come out to 1.4 gig (2x700 meg cd's) what are some options i can put on to make it better quality (picture)
thanks in advance

consider making it a xvcd using a higher video bitrate. i use 720x480 ntsc.... just get ur video bitrate up to where the total file size is under 1.6 gigs.....i also lower the audio bitrate to 128. on a 80 minute cdr u can put about 830 mb of video on it. jus use a higher res and play with the bitrate. that will improve ur video quality dramatically

isnt there just some things i can easily tick that will jack the quality up?
i can only make VCD's cause thats what my dvd player supports -
Bwodie man, not to be funny...but he answered your question, you just have to play around the settings to fit it to your liking...A)TPMG is beta software still & B) simple "ticking" is not going to be the answer....this program has a LOT of selections that will improve quality, you have take time and play around lie I did and sure most others have has well...quality is like beauty, it is in the eye of the beholder....now I can send you my baseline template, you and can go from there...
