Hello all. As my topic title says, I downloaded MassTube via the recommended VideoHelp link. I can't see it. I have my settings in Folder settings set to allow all extensions to be seen. I even turned off my AVG temporarily and re-downloaded the file. The strange thing is, When I re-download the file, I see it. When I cancel the download and go to the folder where it should be, I see nothing. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Okay. I have solved my problem. I had made a folder on my desktop called MassTube and thought I was directing my downloads into it. It turns out that a folder with that name was made automatically in my download folder. I also got thrown off when I managed to download and install it the first time, but didn't realize that the prog minimizes to the taskbar. I was clicking on the splash and seeing no activity, so I assumed that I had screwed something up by deleting something. I had a number of downloaded youtube downloaders ready to install, but had not installed them. And I wasn't sure which was Mass, so I deleted all of it. I came here because I trust VideoHelp a hell of a lot more than download.com.

All's well that ends well. Sorry to bother you. Later...

*I just tested it. I 'almost' gave a donation right from the start just because I was sure that this wasn't garbage or abusive (loaded with crap). As far as I can tell, I'm forced to give a donation. I can't get past the donation request. I just figured that it would be reasonable to try the program at least once before donating. And this is why. Any thoughts?

You must wait 30 seconds before you can click on the download-button. But only one time it seems.

MassTube is Free. You can also upgrade to Plus edition to enable other advanced features by making a money donation. More information and instructions in "Help/Donate to Upgrade to Plus..." from application menu.
And this a video streaming issue. MOving you.

  4. Don't use MassTube, you have 100 other software for free
without limitation and waiting 30sec messages, forcing to donate

use 4K Video Downloader or Freemake Video Downloader

Thanks roma. I will try those progs. The bundleware one has comments, not all positive. The other doesn't. I'll start with the bundleware one just because I find it odd that the other one doesn't have any comments attached.

Here's where I reveal my permanent newbie status. I don't know anything about 'portable'. I can guess however. That version doesn't connect to an external server? I always thought portable versions were primarily for thumb drives.

Anyway, I downloaded and carefully installed Freemake. It seems fine. It's sweet and simple.
