    how do you convert microsoft video(avi file) i finished a movie in this format but my computer wont play it..any ideas would be helpful.......

    thank you for your help..divx codec was the right answer....

    you might not have the proper codecs. do you get any codec errors? are you playing a movie that you downloaded off of kazaa or another p2p program? if so you might need the divx codec go to http://www.divx.com and download the latest codec and playa. this might solve your problem. good luck
