  1. Another newbie question - I think I need to tweak my conversion settings so that I can get 45-50 minutes of MPEG2/SVCD quality onto a 700MB CD. I did the following:

    - Captured 1 hour show to "lossless" AVI (HuffyUV) using ATI's capture software
    - Edited in ULead 5.0 (removed commercials - leaves about 45 min of actual show)
    - Converted to MPEG2/SVCD via ULead

    - ended up with about 750MB

I'm wondering a) what settings will allow me to get the highest possible quality onto a 700 MB CD, b) if this is possible using ULead (can use TMPGEnc if not)

    Thanks in advance,

  2. You may want to actually try to burn the 750MB file.
The normal max file size with Nero SVCD is actually about 770MB.

You can also re-encoded mpoeg2 to mpeg2 with TMPGENC.

  3. Thanks for the tip! I'll try it, maybe I'll get lucky.

How would the MPEG2 to MPEG2 conversion help me?
