First Question :

It is always a problem managing big files, specially when you don't want to use realproducer to stream your videos but to save them in realmedia format.

Suppose I want to save 20 hours a day of TV broadcasting using realmedia format and realproducer.

I have several options:

1) Create an ultra-big file of 20 hours long (not so smart ;) )
2) Create consecutive files of (i.e.) 15 minutes long using a batch process. This would be really good, but there's the problem of keeping time continuity between them; besides, how can I do this with realproducer?

Anyone had to face managing large realmedia files? How did you do to keep time continuity? Are there other options if I want to store a large amount of video?

Second Question :

I acquired a mpeg-2 capturing board (chip kfir based) from http://www.linuxtv.org/ and the board works very well on win98, but I have a lot of problems installing the driver on a Linux RedHat 7.2 , anyone got a step-by-step tutorial about this? The current driver does not compile for me.

Thanks
