    Elecard MPEG2 Player ftp://ftp.elecard.com/pub/mpeg/player/EMpgPlay_135.zip
    http://www.elecard.com/download/mpeg/player/EMpgPlay_135.zip

It is shareware without expiration period. It has only one limitation - show small logo in the top right corner of video window

  3. The elecard link doesn't seem to work.
Does anyone know of freeware or inexpensive Windows players that
will play VCDs with Menus(full playback control like on standalone)?
    thanks.

  4. If you should happen to have an ATI vid card (one that can use MMC 7.6 that is; all the Radeons and a few of the older cards), the VideoCD player included with MMC 7.6 now plays VCD 2.0 wonderfully (and has since MMC 7.5 I think), menus and all. If you don't have an ATI card, hopefully someone else will come up with another idea.
As Churchill famously predicted when Chamberlain returned from Munich proclaiming peace in his time: "You were given the choice between war and dishonor. You chose dishonor, and you will have war."
