  1. Some movies I have downloaded have a slight background hiss all the way through, whats the best software to filter out this noise.

  2. Demux the audio and video, then export the audio to a .wav. Open up Sound Forge, Cool Edit Pro, or your favorite audio editing program (Ray Gun is *excellent* for this type of thing), and run a noise-removal filter on it.

    Save and remux.

  3. i used vdub exported the audio to a wav file then i used cool edit took a spot out of the wav file where i knew for a fact there was no usable audio like a black screen where the show is dead for a second then used it to create a noise profile to extract the his once that was done for best ruesults i repeated it making a second noise profile from the new audio then i used the second noise profile on the audio then with using both profiles i made an outstanding audio track then i just reintegrated it into my avi using vdub and resynced it and it was wonderful
