Ok, I want you know I have tried for days before posting here, as I don't want to seem a bother. I cannot get this right.

In my only other post, I mentioned the audio is always, always out of synch. Every time...never fails.

I have tried numerous combinations of software, and what happens is always the same. The mpg will start out okay, but as the movie continues, the audio gets more and more out of synch.

Does anyone have any advice? I have a movie now on my hard disk ( the VOB's and the WAV I extracted using DVD2AVI.) Step by step help would be greeeeeatly appreciated. Thanks!

  2. John,

I have had excellent results with DVD2SVCD. I followed the instruction on the Doom9 website www.doom9.org and like I said, I have had great results. In the instructions it mentions changing a value to 0 if you have sinc probs (which I did). After changing the value, I can now make excellent back-ups.

Hope this helps. If you do decide to use the software and you run into trouble please feel free to return post.

I will check for your reply.

P.s. I forgot to add that you may have to play the DVD in your PC for a few sec to unlock it. Im using Power DVD.

  3. HMoose, i believe he wants to make VCDs, not SVCDs

anywayz, Trope....are u using the latest version of dvd2avi cuz that's been giving ppl audio sync problems...try switching to an older version...

also, when you choose forced film in dvd2avi, the framerate should be 23.976 fps, not 24 fps (if it shows 24 fps, that's prolly why your audio gradually gets outta sync)

Thanks guys, I appreciate the posts. Yes, I am using the new version, and no I did not change any options (such as framerates). I am going to give this another shot now. I am hopeful now.... Thanks.
