HELP!!! Serious prob with APEX 5131

Heres the deal. I put in a vcd and apparently it was not done properly or something. Whatever. Anyhow, the player tries to initialize and it goes to a menu screen with nothing on it but the word menu. Now, here is the problem. I could care less about the cd that is in there, but it is stuck. When it initializes, it just keeps spinning, trying to read this bad disc. I try to push disc change to disc 2 or 3 and it just keeps trying to read disc 1. I turn off then back on, again it initiallizes disc 1 and the whole thing starts again. How can i get this disc out? One last thing, I have played dvd, cd, vcd, svcd, mp3, cdr (havent tried cdrw yet). so the player does work, it just this STUPID DISC. HELP!

I had this problem once and this is what I did. Unplug/disconnect the dvd player. Then, turn it on end with the tray at the bottom while putting your hand under the tray. The tray should slide open and allow you to get the disk out.

Ok, at this point Im willing to try anything, even standing on MY head. LOL. Will let you know. Any one else had this prob?

Ok, that didnt work. The disc is being held in place by the (spindle ?) as if the player is ready to begin reading as soon as powered up. It wont fall free. Other sugestions?
