  1. I was just watching a video clip I downloaded from TDK. They say to maintain optimal performance that their velocd must be a master device. I wanted to know if that is really needed. My current cdrom drive has served me well and want to keep it as master. Will the TDK still work correctly as slave? My creative 8432 works great even as a slave. It has been one since I installed it a year and a half ago. Nero always recognized it and accepted it, no problems. Is this just TDK trying to cover themselves by saying it MUST be a master or will it not function correctly as a slave?

Any advice I would be really thankful for, thanks guys.

  2. It will work just fine as a Slave Drive, if you have a DVD drive attached, make the DVD the Master and the CDRW the Slave, I have this setup for years now, and not a single problem has occoured.

  4. Don't worry about it, but if I were you, i'd but the Lite-On or CyberDrive, they are much cheaper, and both officialy support the 90/99min CDR media, the TDK does not support 99min CDR's.

  6. I think only the newer model of the 12x10x32, i think it was something ending with a 02 instead of 01, that model can overburn.
