  1. If you really enjoy a movie, do you watch it many times?, just one?, a couple?

What is the movie that you have repeated the most?, how many times?... HONESTLY!

Do you have a particular movie that you will ALWAYS see if it happens to be on TV while you are changing channels?

I think I have seen the LOTR trilogy at least 5 times each and at least 8 times ROTK.

Star Wars.... more times that I can remember!

The Matrix, Blade, Superhero Movies... I think anything Sci-fi will stop me from searching what else is on TV.

I just remembered I saw Jay & Silent Bob strike back at least a dozen times....... that one made me laugh a lot!.

    And you?

If I own a movie I'll watching it now and again. But not tons and tons.

Exceptions: I've seen Happy Gilmore an uncountable number of times. Also I've seen Dune a ton but I've also read the book at least 4 or 5 times.

Any of the Star Trek movies and to a lesser degree the Star Wars movies. The Lord of the Rings movies, Harry Potter movies, Galaxy Quest and the first Matrix. All of these I only saw in the theatre once, but have the DVDs and also watch whenever they're broadcast.
One movie that I saw recently that I actually felt was worth going back and watching again was Bridge to Terabithia. I saw it twice in the theatre and intend to buy the DVD when available. Note that the previews that were broadcast to advertize it totally misrepresented the actual content of the film.

Of course the Christmas Classics but I won't go there...

Star Trek / Wars I've seen many times but only the original / early ones. I never really cared for Star Wars 1-3 as I don't think they captured the magic that was in episodes 4-6. Star Trek just went down hill, in my opinion - the best were 1 and 2.

There's a number of comedies I can watch over and over, Mel Brooks' "Young Frankenstein" and "Blazing Saddles" as well as Python's "The Holy Grail" and "Life of Brian." There's a few others but not coming to mind right now... Oh, in the right mood (drunk), I can watch the Porkies flicks again and again...

    Other's I really like are:

    The Unforgiven
    Snatch
    True Romance
    Batman
    Three Kings
    Dogma
    12 Monkeys
    The Adventures of Baron Munchausen
Airheads (I have no idea why I like this one)
    ...
(I'm sure I caould think of a dozen more given enough time)

Typically not in a row, XMas marathons included.

I like most of the old war flicks and will stop a high speed search for like "Dirty Dozen", "Devils Brigade" and the like. I have been having a John Wayne taste as of late, mostly the old war movies again.

I like some of the old comedies too, but they are a bit harder to find, Laurel and Hardy, Abbott and Costello and any of the Three Stooges stuff.

Got to admit that I get to watch alot of the kids stuff over and over and over and over and over.... But thats OK too. Shrek is pretty good (I think that there is a new one comming soon!)

    Pulp Fiction
    Waterworld (sorry, but it's true)
    True Romance

Anything in the Film-Noir style (genre).
Love the dark alleys, flash backs, femme fatal, double cross, wildly skewed camera angles and the soft lighting schemes. Great watching!!

@JimmyJoeBob : Yes, Pulp Fiction is a definite but I couldn't watch Waterworld the first time let alone more than once.

@zzyzzx : All the Devil in Miss Jones were pretty good but does rewind/fast-forwarding count as re-watching?

This is kind of ancient history ... but I saw one movie in theaters eight times (grin) - "Close Encounters of the Third Kind." Nowadays, though, I'm patient enough to wait for the video release.

I'll watch a movie again, or a tv show, or read a book or comic, .... as long as it's been enough years later that I forgot enough that it seems more like a new viewing than a re-viewing.

For example, I know I saw Back to the Future in theatres in the 80s and again in the early 90s ... but I recently watched all 3 movies, and it was like watching them for the first time.

That's one of the benefits of growing old - the older you get, the more you forget - making seeing it later seem more like a "rediscovery" than a "rewatch."

You know its funny about those. I have the trilogy on dvd of course but the one that I can't watch all the way through is actually Raiders of the lost ark. I know it so well I just can't sit through the whole thing. I end up skipping through to the action scenes.

Now I only have seen TEMPLE less than a dozen times or so I think so that is still a fresh film to me.

I have memorized CRUSADE but I still love it. I can watch the last one over and over even though I know it so much. Especially since the dvd 5.1 track was released. The sound is so crisp and perfect on it you can't help but love it.

    Hell yeah the Bond films.
I have them all except for the original made-for-TV "Casino Royale". I've never seen that one.
I've watched them all repeatedly except for the new "Casino Royale" which I've only seen once. I think it's the best of all of them, but I won't buy it until I can get it with dts.
