Hello i thought i remembered having bin reading about a similar situation once before but i cant remember what xilisoft did perhaps did it create a file for you that is not playing the sound in the position you want. what type of file did xilisoft create for you is it on your computer hard drive or on a disc and what is the file extension and do you have the original file from which you started before xilisoft created the file or disc that is not to your liking?

_kryten_, you will likely get better responses here with shorter sentences, capitalization at their start and periods at their end, and some paragraphs.

But, what format did you start out with? That type of sync problem can be a result from VBR audio formats being improperly re-encoded. Or sync problems can be caused by missing frames, corrupted video or audio, or bad cuts and joins.

If the problems don't exist in the original file, then something in the conversion process probably caused them.

    And welcome to our forums.

You can use VirtualDub or VD Mod to apply a offset to the audio in the amount of the sync error. That's if the error is the same amount the length of the video.

If the sync error changes, getting worse towards the end of the video, then the audio and video are likely different lengths. You would have to change one or the other to match.

Sync problems can be caused by bad joins or cuts, corrupted video or audio, or most commonly, bad conversions of MP3 VBR audio when converting the files to MPEG formats. Check the video in Gspot 2.70 and see if it has VBR audio. If so, extract the audio as a WAV or convert it to a CBR format. A guide for VD Mod: https://www.videohelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=280779

Ideally, you'd still have your original source and are making the corrections the previous posters / stickies suggested.

It may be possibe to demux your mp4 with Yamb. Run the audio Yamb gave you with your 1000-2000 millisecond adjustment through an audio editor that accepts your acc or mp3 and rejoin the the two again with Yamb.

Remember your PSP is probably very particular about framerates bitrates frequencies and so on.
