If you start with progressive 29.97 video, is there anything that will interpolate in-between frames so you end up with either 59.94 progressive video or 29.97 interlaced?

I don't mean just create a duplicate of the existing frames but interpolate motion between the existing 29.97 frames and double the frame rate.

    Thanks

  3. SalFps3 and interframe are my favorites when doing this with Avisynth, but remember interpolated frames tend to have problems,.. (three legged walking people&co )

  4. You can find DoubleFPS2() in these forums. It uses mvtools2. And for replacing or inserting individual or short sequences of frames you can find my modifications of RX() as ReplaceFramesMC and InsertFramesMC.

But as Selur pointed out, these motion interpolating techniques don't always work well. They're great for simple panning shots. Terrible with large complex motions -- especially cartoons.
