  1. I own a sylvania sdvd7040b player. When I tried connecting it to my projector through the a/v wire, it just wouldn't pick up. This is not a problem with the projector because the projector does pick up other dvd player with the a/v wire but this particular dvd player, it just doesn't pick up. Also, I would assume that if I plug the a/v out jack, I would stop hearing sound from the dvd player, and I do hear sound from the player, which leads me to wonder if perhaps some sort of setting is off. The manual was of no use.

    I would really appreciate it if you can try to help!!

    Sounds like the AV Port is blown on the DVD player.
    It's not important the problem be solved, only that the blame for the mistake is assigned correctly
