Winrar: how do I repair files?
Every so often I run into a problem with corrupt files when un-raring a movie or game. I see Winrar has a "repair" function, but Im not sure how to fix it still. What do I do with the "repaired" file?
example... "packed data CRC failed ... the volume is corrupt" error
Is there a guide on this?
THX!

in most cases using the repair function will not help you much but just use "save broken files" ..
if the file size is to small -- the only way is to re-download the file again .. -
if the file does not have a repair string, which would have been included when it was rared, then you wont be able to repair it. open the file with winrar and click the command tab at the top of winrar. if a repair string is in the file, then the rpair option wil be black.if the repair option is greyed out, then no repair string is present and there is "no way" to rpair the file
