  2. I do not think it is true, your video could most probably be loaded by many applications even using free applications.

Hard to say. Canon makes lots of cameras. Likely it's not a "canon" file, but it has a format and uses a specific encoder. And you can likely record more than one frame size, etc., depending on the model. Might be a good idea to give us a little more info to work with.

  5. It is not working!!! This is all that can be heard.

Are you talking about $100 camera or some $5000 with some raw modes ? Nothing about actual format or type of camera.

Downloaded samples usually speed up solution for these situations.

  6. Assuming you're still using that Elph520, a file I downloaded from vimeo opens in virtualdub, vegas, premiere, MPEG Streamclip -- in fact so far I haven't found anything that won't open it.

That being said, if $40 is over your head, you may want to consider a different hobby.

Post a sample if you want folks to try your specific files.

edit: + windows media player, MPC-HC, Quicktime Player, VLC...

  14. Post a short clip if you want folks to check it out.

  15. Posting a clip usually helps a lot. Shot some floor sample, doesn't matter, 3seconds, put it in PC and upload, you can upload directly with videohelp, no host needed.

I have one powershot canon here also, not exactly that one you have , I always get any USB cabel there is around (USB-mini USB) and it works
