  1. So basically i want buy an android mini PC, but sadly it only has one HDMI-out and my spare monitor only supports DVI so i came up with the idea of splitting the HDMI into DVI, and analogue audio by using a HDMI to D-DVI adapter and a HDMI to VGA+audio converter, and i was wondering whether or not the sound would suffer from delay due to conversion, and how would the HDMI splitter impact the image quality?

My setup would look like this:

  2. Use an HDMI to HDMI+Audio splitter like this:
    http://www.amazon.com/ViewHD-Premium-Audio-Extractor-Converter/dp/B00AHS8LD8/
along with an HDMI -> DVI cable.

The splitter won't cause any change in video quality. If you're using RCA audio outputs the quality will obviously be reduced (and multichannel audio will be reduced to stereo).

The Android mini PCs I have looked at are designed to work with TVs, not monitors. They only output standard HDTV resolutions. Standard PC LCD monitors are not the same as TVs. They expect video at their native resolution. Anything else is unlikely to look good.

Jababo's suggestion is good, but get the HDMI to DVI cable first so you can test the monitor with the Android Mini PC to make sure you can get an acceptable picture before investing in other gear. If it works to your satisfaction, you can use it to connect the converter to your monitor.

Great idea, but what im really interested in is how fast are these converters. because the video signal is traveling through a different line/ only an adapter with 0 extra delay, so i fear that they might desync.

Reviewers say audio and video are synchronized. If there was a A/V synchronization issue, then few who bought one of these converters would keep them.
