I copied a tv show on a VHS recorder then copied it onto a dvd BUT it has a black line half way up the screen ?? is there any way to fix this :-}

	The problem isn't "a black line half way up the screen". It's that the top portion of the picture is appearing below the bottom portion -- ie, the vertical sync wasn't working properly. You can partially fix that 
 
 
 
 but you'd be better off capturing again without that problem. Try a different VCR, manually adjust the tracking, or a different capture device. That may also clear up a lot of the other related problems in the cap too.
 
 You have an PAL/NTSC problem too. Maybe that's the whole problem. You're playing an NTSC tape and catpuring PAL? PAL60? Many capture devices don't support PAL60.Last edited by jagabo; 24th Sep 2013 at 08:48.
