VOB to MP4

If you want to convert a VOB file to MP4, this is how I did it. Hope it works for you. Now, my VOB had a length problem. It was really between 20 and 25 minutes, but it Windows Explorer said it was only 6 seconds. But hopefully this will fix it. But if it doesn't, at least it's a MP4 now. Anyways, here's how I did it.

Go to mega.co.nz and sign up or login. Then upload your VOB file. When it's complete, change the .VOB part to .mp4. Then download it again. Now it will download as a mp4 file. I this doesn't work for you, let me know what the problem is and I'll try to explain why it's not working.

So, if I upload my VOB file to YouTube - and then download the converted file, I should be happy?
And hey, YouTube even gives me a 480p and a 360p file - wow.

pbtkb. no, mega doesn't convert video files. all you've succeeded in doing is changing the extension, just like right-clicking and renaming. it's still an mpeg-2 in a vob wrapper. it may still play in some things because they are smart enough to know to ignore the extension.

That would work.. you would have to upload it, then download the video using a youtube video downloader. And I apologize, my method doesn't really change the file type fully.
