  1. Ok, so I have 2 tracks. The one you usually hear (track 1), and another (track 2) I made that I want to be heard after vocal remover or whatever it's called elsewhere. Is there a way to insert track 2 behind track 1 so it will be heard after vocal remover? And is this possible for free?

Your post is about as meaningful as telling a mechanic "There's something wrong with my car because it won't do that thing at all". Provide small sample clips and a significantly better explanation of your goal if you seriously want help.

  3. I'm sorry, I'm kinda new to this, so I'm not sure how to word it. Track 1 and 2 are both heard, BUT when you add vocal remover in Audacity or another program, all I want left is track 2. Does that help at all? And here are tracks 1 and 2. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/3qua5vv1cblha0d/DUI5-p9PZx

    Nope. Not even a little.

We have 2 members here who are notorious for sticking with lost causes. Maybe one or both of them will get interested in this and figure out what you are trying to say and help you.

It sounds to me like you want to remove the vocal and then dub yourself into the track, replacing it. What this has to do with mono to stereo is beyond me.

I don't know how to do this. Especially since your question isn't exactly clear.

Have you tried the audacity forums?

If I understand you, you want to use audacity's Vocal Removeer filter to make track 1 sound like track 2.

First of all, the Vocal Remover filter is used to eliminate vocals, not isolate them.

Secondly, Vocal Remover requires true stereo tracks. It works by subtracting one channel from the other. Sounds that are in the center (vocals are usually in the center) are removed leaving only sounds that are unique in each of the tracks (reduced to a mono track). Your track1.wav isn't really stereo, it's a mono track recorded on both channels. In essence, all sounds are in the middle. If you remove the sounds in the middle you will be left with silence.

  7. What I want is both tracks to be heard originally, BUT the background track (what is heard AFTER audacity's vocal remover) is just track 2. Basically, Track 2 is all that's left after vocal remover.
