    Hello,

I have a local newssite and I bought a new camera with a microphone
When I edit the movies, the sound is good. But when I would like to play it at a mobile phone (mono), I only hear a strange noise. On the computer (stereo) is the sound normal. I tried a few edit programms, but I get the same problem with all. Who knows the answer?

I use Magix Video Pro X3

Magix?? Really? I didn't know they were still around, they use to be known for making cheap crap software. Once your completed your video edits try using some of the free software in our tools section, Xvid4PSP and Xmedia Recode are popular around here.
But for the most help we need to know the specs of your video (use mediainfo)
What device are you using for playback?
Are you trying to play in your browser or play directly from your device?

Your movie file has stereo audio for which the left channel and right channel are almost inverted in phase. That means that a down mix will only let you hear the difference between the left and right channel. This may sound like hisses and noise. The solution is to invert phase on one of the channels. And find out why your sound has this unusual property.

I didn't believe the left and right audio of the YouTube clip above (and probably the original camcorder clip) were 180° out of phase with each other until I I listened closely and d/l the lot and extracted the waveform. Either the camcorder mics were wrongly wired, (which makes me extremely curious: what brand and model is this??) or Magix is doing some unintended magic. I 2nd dragonkeeper: ditch magix, then record maybe a 10sec street scene with a person talking in the middle medium close-up. Post the original AVCHD (if that) *.mts clip here and let us examine it.
For the nth time, with the possible exception of certain Intel processors, I don't have/ever owned anything whose name starts with "i".
