Hello, I recently bought a new TV, LG 47 inch. Is a mid-class TV so I experience some issues with Football (Soccer) games.
I am a football fan, so I need to fix this. Using my satellite TV all is quite nice. But when I download a certain video file containing football match I have problems with bluring , judder etc. My TV handles well video files recorded at 30 and more FPS. I have files that are 50p (50FPS) and 59.997 FPS and the quality is really nice. But most games are 25fps and I have serious issues. So is there any way, using video converter maybe to change 25 fps to 50 or 59.997, just for the TV to handle it well? I tried a few programs but the scenes are speed up, like I am changing the video speed not FPS. Any help will be much appreciated.

p.s Mostly I will use .TS and .MKV files. Thanks in advance.

p.s2 Sorry for my not so good English

p.s3 I am using the tv True Motion feature but it make it worse whit serious ghosting. Without True Motion I have blurring.

  2. It sounds like your video is 25 fps interlaced (often called 25i or 50i). And the TV isn't handling the interlace properly. Post MediaInfo reports on the video file. Even better, post a short sample of the source.

  4. The video isn't interlaced. It looks to me like someone started with a 1080i25 video and deinterlaced it to 25p. If your TV's motion interpolation isn't working well with it there's not much you can do. There is software that can perform the same sort of motion interpolation but it may not do any better than your TV. Attached is a sample of the first half of your video motion interpolated to 50p using MvTools in AviSynth. And an example of the type of artifacts you'll see:

I see, well, I wil wait for some firmware update and download 59.997 football games. Anyway the playback is better with the file you provided. How to use Avisynth and try 59 FPS? Thanks again.

  6. This site has most of what you need to know:

    http://www.overclock.net/t/862978/guide-double-video-framerate-for-awsome-looking-anime

Instead of playing the script in a media player you encode it with an encoder.
