    On My volume adjustement controls in Windows XP The Treble and Bass Adjustments are Ghosted in Advanced Properties, is there any way to get around this? ITs driving me nuts trying to fix it

    What is your sound card, does it have treble and base adjustment ?

    its a Creative AudioPCI (ES1271,ES1373 (WDM), so I believe its generally new

    i honestly don't think your gonna find any help on this subject. I also have a new sound card, and that option is greyed out on mine. I believe (don't quote me on this) that microsoft put this there in the hopes that some sound card designers would start using it, but it never caught on, and microsoft just left that option in their os.

    Dont use the windows panel, use the one that came with the sound card.
