Help me pick the software I need!

I need to create a DVD for a project at work

Needs to have a main menu with 4 selections

under each selection there will be about 20 short videos (under 1 min) you can select to watch. When the short clip is done it needs to take you back to the submenu you were just at. All of the videos are in .mov but I will convert them (suggestions?).


I have both PC and MACs to use. I will buy any software needed, not looking just for free.


If someone can help me pick a software that will do this, that would be great! Thank you

as it turns out we had tmpgenc auth 4 from when a previous person did the dvd a couple of years back.


Looks like what I need it to do is:

Top menu, 4 tracks.

in each of those 4 tracks, the clips will be chapters. about 20-30 in each track.

My only problem is I need it to go back to the track menu after each chapter is played.

IE: If I play the 30 second clip (chapter 7) as soon as it ends, take me back to the track menu that has those chapters listed.

Is there any way I can do this?

Been many years since I used it but I believe it should work if each chapter is a self contained clip, not if a chapter is simply a section of a clip. Tmpgenc does not do chapter playlists IIRC.

Anyone that can help me with this? I've got the basic DVD structure made using tmpgenc auth 4.

I have a top menu and 4 tracks

in each track are my acutal videos (chapters). I can select one and it plays from there until the end. I need it to play one and go back to the menu (the track menu, not the main top menu). I would also like it to go to the menu I was just on.

IE: I'm on track 2, page 3 and select a video. When its done playing, go back to track 2 page 3 menu.

Sorry I dont know what those are really called. Thanks in advance for any help.
