  1. I've put up a new tutorial on how to convert music video files into standard mp3 sized files. Great for sharing music videos over slow connections!

  2. I'm guessing that nobody found this useful in the slightest bit. I guess since so many people have broadband nowadays everyone forgets about the humble modem users, hehe.

  4. It's a good thought but 160x120 is awfully small...

Basically it matters how fast your connection is and how much HD space you have...I love watching streaming video over my cable modem. It's very good!

Don't worry...one day videos will be traded like pictures in less than a second. It will rule!

  5. Thanks for taking the time to post that. Many of us do appreciate it whether we have phone or cable. Some clients or family still use the phone modems.

  6. It's just that I see people on here encoding video at 2mbps when you can encode video at 320x240 and at 500-700kbps and still come out with a good result......unfortunately I'm stuck on dialup (like many other people) and if we overlook a little quality reduction we can make video that is easily downloadable over even 28.8k connections. I'll be posting some more tutorials soon on making small, effecient, but still decent quality videos.

  7. The Media Encoder is a good tool. (Not the right formats for everything). But a good free product. It can be confusion with the package that comes downloaded. For instance, the encoder version 4. whatever was in my start menu while I had to go into my program folder to execute version 7. I will just have to print out the word document that comes with the files to learn every corner of the product. Most of the time for video I go through the Premiere plug in. I have used the ASF stuff to make my videos into AVI. Many music videos or short films come in this format and I like to add them to VCD's when I put together trailer disc.
Do you know of any book that is available for this? It would be nice if a QuickStart book came out.
