Anyone miss the previous way files were downloaded in firefox in that a separate download window would pop up and show you the downloads, now you have to click on either the new download tab or open tools/downloads.
Wish they could have had an option for the download window to open as soon as a file started to download and stay open.

I haven't actually updated to v20, yet, but I've read you can revert to the old download manager by using about:config and changing browser.download.useToolkitUI to "true."

Thanks for the tip,got it back to way i like,i kinda remember using about:config sometime ago for something else but forgot about it.

Yep, I noticed it the other day after I did a restart on my PC after not shutting it off for a few weeks.
I had no clue there was an update or it changed until I opened my browser again and it showed that little window saying it was checking for compatibility for addons. -
I don't mind what they did with the dl window. I do not like how they changed private browsing, which I find (or found?) was a great way to control tracking cookies.
If it weren't a browser and therefore so security sensitive I'd use the older version. -
It could be practically anything, since you can do so much in about:config.
I have to wonder if extensions like this will be updated to allow you to switch between the download managers...
Are you sure you wouldn't be better off turning off auto-update for Firefox updates? I usually wait to see whether or not there are any major issues (something for which they'd probably want to rush out a x.1 update) before letting Firefox update. Heck, I've ended up turning auto-update off for extensions, as well, after a few extension updates which broke things.
I don't really use the private browsing mode, though, so I can't comment on that.If cameras add ten pounds, why would people want to eat them? -

Just input about:config in your browser window.
