I've been given some files from a camcorder that appear to be in the M2TS format and while the four files appear to make up a single video, which I've been asked to upload to Youtube, I can't seem to find any way of combining the files into a single video that can then be uploaded easily. I've tried Virtualdub, Avidemux, Handbrake and multiAVCHD and the closest I've been able to come to success has audio and video that just keep getting further and further out of sync as the video continues. Since this is a speech/presentation, out of sync audio is bad. Is there anyway to do this task for free. I'm doing this as a favor for small non-profit that has zero budget, so buying ral editing software is obviously out of the question.

I had a success with avchd using Avidemux 2.6.0 , dropping files in a desired sequence into avidemux, set video -copy , audio - copy, output mpeg ts, and then remuxing resulted ts into mkv with mkvmerge. Then you can re-encode it if it is too big tu upload.
But avchd files could differ from camcorder to camcorder.
