  1. Help. . . . Mr Wizard!!!

Anyone capturing VCD ready MPEG2 with the ATI All-in-Wonder? If you are, what settings are you using? I've tried just about everything. I'm trying to capture right off the satellite into mpeg2 and then cut & burn without further encoding in Nero.

If not that, then how about the settings in TMPGenc? Whether I'm converting from avi, or compressing an MPEG2 down to make it fit on a CDR, I still get the message from Nero that its not VCD compliant!! Arrrrgh!!

I'd love some help from some of you gurus out there!!

  2. Assuming you're using MMC 7.1-7.6 get Stinky's "ATI Registry Tool"
located in "Tools" if you want a vcd compliant mpeg. In TMPGEnc
use the wizard all you have to is choose format(vcd, svcd, dvd).
    More info. in "F.A.Q."

  3. VCD is MPEG-1. SVCD is MPEG-2.
As Churchill famously predicted when Chamberlain returned from Munich proclaiming peace in his time: "You were given the choice between war and dishonor. You chose dishonor, and you will have war."

  4. Yeah, thanks Mirror, I do know at least that much. The last post from Movie Geek helped me a lot. Nero likes the MPEG and MPEG2 I capture, but complains after I split the file. I shut down the "standard compliance" check and it works fine!!
