I have an MKV file that has a single audio stream, Dolby TrueHD. This does not play any audio when I play the file through my WD TV Live, so I am looking for some software to extract the audio stream so that I can convert it to AC3 and add it back in.

I have tried mkvtoolnix and eac3to, but neither are able to extract the stream.

    TIA

I've not tried that.. I'll fire it up now and have a look, thanks..

EDIT: Bah, it all looked so good until I hit the run button..

    Unsupported Audio codec: A_TRUEHD.

Something that I noticed is that Makemkv will do that automatically if you select the DD button only and not the Truhd button.

Or at least it seems to. When I put the resulting MKV file in MediaInfo after I do that it just shows a 640kbs AC3 file as the audio.

Thanks, but I already have the MKV with TrueHD audio. I am looking for a method of extracting the TrueHD stream so that I can convert it to AC3 and reinsert it into the MKV..
