I need merge subtitles in my movie for watching him in TV.
Is possible add subtitles in movies (avi, mp4) without conversion? The subtitles need appear without select the track.

    Thank You!

It is possible to add subtitles to MP4 and AVI files without having to re-encode the video, but there's no way to make them appear without selecting them. If you need subtitles to appear without selection then they must be encoded into to the video (these are called "hardcoded subtitles").

    Thanks for your answer.

Then, what software do you recommend to encode video with the same size and quality?

All lossy codecs degrade the quality when used. You may or not notice it, but it's there. Hardcoding subs to a video definitely lowers the quality. What's so important about not having to select the subs anyway? If a player supports subs, then it also supports selecting the subs.

Getting the same size is fairly easy. You just have to use the same bitrate as the source.

I don't use any of them, but a search in the tools section of this site will turn up dozens. Video To Video Converter, Hybrid, AviDemux, Freemake Video Converter, and many more:
