How do I take still photographs from my VCD?
I also converted the VCD to MPEG. Can I get stills from those as well? How?
Thanks

I assume you don't mean taking photographs camera. Try this: http://www.vcdhelp.com/faq.htm#screenshot
Another option is to open the mpegs or .dat files in VirtualDub. That has the option to export a movie as an image sequence (don't do this for an entire movie as you'll get thousands of BMPs). For long sequences you can mark in and out a section of the mpeg and only export frames from that section (to reduce the number of BMPs). This probably won't make sense until you try it. -
Virtual Dub also has the option to copy current frame to clipboard, so you can paste it in Paint Shop Pro (or whatever your editor may be).
As Churchill famously predicted when Chamberlain returned from Munich proclaiming peace in his time: "You were given the choice between war and dishonor. You chose dishonor, and you will have war."
