Hi,
I can capture video fine using a usb cable from the nv-gs35 (this is minidv tape) and using Windows moviemaker software.
However I have just purchased Pinnacle Studio 15 & for some reason it cannot recognise the camera in the import list of devices.
Can anyone help me sort yhis problem ? The gs35 has firewire & usb2 outputs but my laptop only has usb input.
I cannot see why windows moviemaker sees it but Pinnacle studio does not using usb2 cable.

USB from a MiniDV camcorder is for low quality webcam type video, for a proper transfer you need to use Firewire. Studio does not recognise the USB input as it doesn't expect anyone to try to edit such low quality video. You need a Firewire port.
