Hello,
I did some searching and could not find a similar question, although I am sure it is out there and I just missed it. I have a bunch of concert DVDs and "bonus discs" that have multichannel audio tracks on them, some in DTS and some in Dolby Digital, that I would like to archive to my computer without going to a re-lossy format (hehe my new word for doing a lossy algorithm on an already lossy encoded file...not sure if there is a proper term for that or not)
My short term goal with these files is to stream (if possible) to my PS3 (or better yet, pass through my ROKU soundbridge to my reciever) and play them through my home theater set-up. Long term is building a home theater pc and outputting directly to my HT receiver.
I really do not care what format they are in as long as the PS3 likes them. I made some test files that I could play on my PC (.wav, and some others I tried so many things I lost track and did not document) and could not get them to stream to the ps3. Does anybody know how to go about this? My only stipulation I have set for myself is that I would like to maintain the best possible sound quality, I tried to stay with a raw .ac3 or .dts file but could not get it to work on the ps3. I do not want to degrade the sound quality. And I do realize that there is no quality to be added by going from DD or DTS to a .wav, flac. or other lossless format, I just do not want to lose any quality.
Thoughts?

If nothing better comes along you could always make DVDs of each song (or a big DVD containing a bunch of songs).
Make a DVD compliant BMP (720x480/576), open it in Muxman, add in the audio file(s) and author. You can even get fancy with different BMP pictures for each song, chapters and all that, if you want.
