    It displays the studdering/surging as in the sample clip posted above.

    I've replaced the audio of the clip above with LPCM audio(from the CD - it's a music video) hoping the 44.1 audio was the problem with the studdering....I was wrong....BUT the replaced audio is much better anyway and is now perfectly synced. Here is the media info for my new "audio replaced" clip(This was done in Avidemux so the video was not re-encoded, just the audio was replaced.)

    Can this clip be salvaged somehow? I have no problem loading it into VirtualDub then frameserving over to MainConcept Reference and re-encoding. It's only VHS source anyway.

  2. It cannot be fixed. Telecined NTSC video went through an improper resizing and blended frame rate conversion.
