Have had issues with converting a Huffyuv file to Blu-Ray format with Vegas Pro 8. Would you anticipate any problems with this?

Use the AVCHD encoder, and that's "consumer blu-ray", not "Hollywood blu-ray". I think you need version 9+.

Re-read my answer and jagabo's and budwzr's answer. In essence, all our replies say:
(a) Yes, Vegas can.
(b) what does huffyuv have to do with it?
(c) what do you mean by "glitch"?
But now that you have the solution, it's moot. Mainly, just asking that you be a bit more specific. -
I appreciate your efforts to assist but I don't know why this particular point doesn't seem clear to you. I'm taking a HuffYuv file and converting it to a Blu-Ray compatible file. What it has to do with the Blu-Ray is it's the file that's being converted. It's an intermediate stage. I get that an over 300 gig file won't fit on a 25 gig disk. I never at any time said I thought Huff files in of themselves are Blu-Ray compatible. That's something you keep reading into it for some reason. If this doesn't straighten out your misconception of what I've actually been saying, I can't make it any more clear.

Thanks for clarifying the glitch. Don't know why the encoding would just stop at a certain point, but you seem to have solved the problem.
The difference between huffyuv or Lagarith compression and BluRay or MPEG encoding/compression is this:
huffyuv and lagarith are not "encoders", they're compressors; they are, for example, similar to ZIP or WinRAR. They don't rearrange the source into a different frame organization such a I, P, B frames (which are mainly partial images rather than full-data images), nor do they incur any data loss. BluRay/MPEG do make those rearrangements and have some degree of data loss involving different bitrates. The BluRay/MPEG compression and partial-image structure are the processing steps that convert a 300GB huffyuv/Lagarith video into a much smaller file. -
to find out if it was Huffyuv "glitch" you cut out a piece out of it in Virtual Dub, that particular part when Vegas stops and try to encode it , if Vegas goes through without problems that it is problem with Vegas export modul
