I was wondering what the lowest divx settings possible where while still maintaining a good/decent picture.

I am going for a res of 352x288 and a framerate of 25fps.

I just want to know if anyone had any good divx settings using a low bitrate?

Obvisouly these sorts of settings wouldn't be used for inportant things like films or anthing, but for say episodes of the simpsons.

i have just discoverd a new codec i like the look of : xvid. I am going to be trying that now.

The reason i want to do this is so i can (legally) (i am not trying to get vcdhelp ion trouble here) set up a small site where we can trade movie trailers and the like. Than we can burn them to vcd

  6. Have you tried using "Fairuse" ?? You can set the specific res and file size you want and leave it to it. I think the prog does approx 4 passes combining the best results from both high motion and low motion codecs together to give you your final file. Very easy to use as well
